Personalisation & Options

Create your own graduation ring in 3 steps:

1. Texture

The outside texture of this ring can be personalised. Choose between the Max’s Mirror finish and the Baltimore Brush finish. The first is a classic mirror finish that creates a bright, calm impression; the second a hand applied brush that forges a unique character.

2. Shield Engraving

The University's shield can be engraved either on the reverse of the ring or on the side panels. Below is an example of the shield engraved on the reverse of the ring, along with the degree initials and the year of graduation.

Alternatively, the second image, below, shows the shield engraved on the sides of the ring. Degree initials and year of graduation can be included on this version, though it is not show here.

3. Inside Inscription

Whether the ring is a gift or to mark your own achievement inscribe it on the inside with a hidden inscription of up to 12 characters (ring sizes 4 and above), giving it one last distinct personal character.

For finger sizes smaller than H½ (US 4) a specialist engraving will be required which costs £30 for up to 18 characters. Please email us with your engraving.

We can also engrave with special characters (e.g. Greek, Cyrillic, Chinese, Russian, Arabic) or symbols (e.g. ♡, !, #, Δ, %, $) on any finger size for £30. To request a special engraving please email us with your engraving.

The Story of Annotated’s Education Collaboration

Originally created by three friends at the University of Oxford looking for a different, but elegant way to celebrate and cherish their undergraduate memories,

This project goes back to the beginnings of the small design studio that preceded our company.

Since those earliest days, Annotated has stood for the idea that, by making things well, we could imbue our products with a sense of soul. You can feel it the moment you touch one of our Signet rings.

And being the children of university lecturers and teachers it was natural for us to combine this with the notion of celebrating education and studying for its own sake.

Over the years, the Annotated graduation ring has become our definition of one-of-a-kind and bespoke: completely made-to-order in collaboration with its owner and crafted by hand from precious metals.

Whether a graduand is someone who typically is interested in fine jewellery or not.

Please note, custom-made items cannot be returned but can be cancelled within seven days of order confirmation when production is still at an early stage.
